DARREL ALBERT CHALKMAN Tragically on Wed-nesday, November 14, 2001 just outside of Oak Bluff, MB, Darrel Albert Chalkman, aged 60, beloved husband of Lorraine of Winnipeg and loving son of Lucienne of Boggy Creek, MB. Darrel leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 14 years; his children, Kary and Blair Chalkman, Janet (Dave) Rempel, James (Kathy) McLeod, Jeff (Meredith) McLeod; his grandchildren whom he cherished with all of his heart, Samantha, Nolan, Brendan, Liam, Morgann and Mallory. Also left to mourn are sisters, Darlene, Eileen and Sharron, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Darrel was born in Winnipeg, MB on December 7, 1940. He graduated from St. James Collegiate in 1958. Darrel worked as a building inspector for Crosier Kilgour for 15 years, moving to Manitoba Hydro at Limestone in 1986. He worked most recently with Suburban Overhead Construction at Manitoba Hydro. Darrel was involved with the St. James minor hockey program as a coach for many years where he made many friends. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 20 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Darrels memory.
